Event Activities and How to Get Involved
Kingdom Arts and Sciences Faire (Saturday) The Middle Kingdom A&S Competition is a two-part competition. In order to enter Kingdom A&S, one first needs to enter their project into the Regional A&S Faire and place with high enough scores to proceed to Kingdom. If you have never entered before, it is a great venue to get advice and comments on your work. To learn more about entering the Middle Kingdom Arts and Sciences Faire, check out the following site for rules and divisional criteria: http://www.midrealm.org/moas/criteria.html
Arts & Sciences Roundtable Discussions (Saturday) Come bring your project and informally share with others interested in your field. The day of the Kingdom Arts and Sciences Faire is a day to celebrate our diverse knowledge of history, textiles, garments, songs, woodworking, and other interesting topics! There will be an entire room set aside for the sharing of these diverse arts with others. Please contact the A&S Roundtable Discussion Coordinator if you are interested in being a roundtable moderator!
Scribal Meet’n’Greet (Saturday) This is an opportunity for scribes of any experience and interest level to meet up with each other. Please feel free to bring your portfolio or favorite books to share with your fellow scribes. If you are interested in learning more about getting involved as a scribe, this would be a great experience!
Heraldic Submissions (Saturday) Have any problems researching a name, or not sure how to submit your arms for approval? There will be heralds onsite at a Heraldic Consultation table to assist you with name and/or device registration submissions.
Dancing and Bardic (Saturday/Sunday) Let the fun not stop when Court ends: stick around for dancing and bardic circles. Please come enjoy the company of your fellow SCAdians when the days’ busy schedule is done. The Bardic Circle will be on Sunday night, after Feast. Please come to share a song or story, or to just enjoy the festivities!
Rapier Combat (Saturday) More details to come later! Check back!
Youth Combat (Saturday) The youth boffer combat field will open for inspections, authorizations, warm-ups, and sparring at 11am. Activities to follow. The fighting will either end when all of the youth are tired of fighting, or when the lists close at 4:30pm.
